#BoysClub: Teenagers get their first look at the latest in zoo safety, animal behavior and more from the #BirdsClub at #ELMwoods park
In a nod to the upcoming film “Boys Club,” some boys at an elmwood zoo in central Florida were able to look around and observe the latest safety measures in the creation of the world’s first bird sanctuary.
As part of the park’s Birds Club program, which is part of its annual winter programming, the boys were able see and touch all of the new features that are part of a new facility that will be built by the elmwoods park.
The new facility will be called the Elwood Bird Sanctuary and will include the following additions:There are no birds in the facility, but the kids were able watch and touch a variety of wildlife, including deer, wild boars and bald eagles.
It’s unclear when the new facility, which will be a two-acre space, will be open to the public.
