London’s London Zoo has been hit by a massive fire.
According to BBC News, “Firefighters are fighting a blaze at the zoo on Monday morning”.
A fire has been reported in the park’s chimney, which is the second-largest in the UK after the South Downs Zoo.
Firefighters were called to the fire and were quickly able to put out the fire.
The zoo tweeted: “London Zoo fire.
Fire crews have put out a fire at the London zoo.
Please keep all staff and guests safe.”
London’s second-biggest zoo, the South Down Zoo, has been closed.
According the BBC, “The South Downs will remain closed for a period of time as crews continue to search the area for the cause of the fire.”
A London Zoo spokesperson said: “The fire at London Zoo is being investigated and there is no risk to the public.”
